My youngest seemed to have problems when his teeth came in and my older child had soft teeth and problems as well. It must run in the family as I have a mouth of fillings. We let him brush his own teeth after lunch and I do it with him at bedtime each night to make sure it's thoroughly done. I also make the request that after a sugary treat both boys don't wait until after their next meal but brush their teeth promptly. Good advice.
